I hope you can easily find all the information you require on my site, if not, please do not hesitate to contact me.
My name is Amy Hassall, I'm a qualified integrative counsellor registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the CCYP (Counselling Children and Young People). My counselling practice; 'The Counselling Barn' provides professional and confidential one-to one counselling for adults and adolescents living and working in the Cotswolds. I can provide short-term or long-term counselling therapy, depending on your needs and preference. I also offer counselling sessions for student counsellors.
The Counselling Barn is situated in Aston on Carrant, about 3 miles from the Tewkesbury motorway junction (junction 9), which makes it easily accessible for people in the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire areas.
My therapy room is part of a converted barn in a quiet area, which is very private and will provide you with a safe, comfortable environment for your counselling sessions. The Counselling barn is easy to get to with off road parking available for my clients.
If you are seeking counselling for the first time I have designed my website to give you more understanding of what counselling is about. Or on the contrary, if have loads of experience of counselling or you are training to become a counsellor this website can give you an idea of my counselling approach.
There are many different approaches to counselling, which you may see advertised including: Brief therapy, Client-centred, Person-centred, Constellation therapy, Cognitive analytical therapy, Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Existential counselling, Gestalt therapy, Humanistic, Integrative counselling, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), Psychodynamic, Solution-focused therapy, Systemic therapies, Transactional analysis, Transpersonal therapy... and the list goes on!
You may have come across these descriptions in your search for a counsellor, which can be very confusing if you don't have any knowledge of counselling! I have explained some of these approaches, as brief as possible, and I've included useful links too. Hopefully my website will help you to get an idea of the type of counselling you want to have.
If my approach appeals to you and The Counselling Barn is accessible for you, then you can drop me an email from this site or call me, I am happy to talk with you and you can book a session with me if that's what you choose to do.
